Settle in Belgium is free to read. It is funded by affiliate commissions: when you click some links to a provider and sign up, the provider may pay us a fee. You pay nothing extra.

Where we do not take commissions

Until a regulatory question is settled with the Belgian financial regulator (FSMA), we take no commission on insurance or credit products, credit cards included. In those guides every link goes directly to the provider’s official site and earns us nothing. Each guide says at the top whether it contains paid links.

How you can tell

• Commercial links go through an address that starts with /go/ and carry a small ad mark.
• Every comparison page starts with a disclosure box.
• These links are marked rel="sponsored" for search engines.

What commissions never change

Affiliate partnerships never affect scores. Scores are calculated by code from the criteria described in how we score. Providers we have no deal with are included, scored and ranked the same way, and a provider can rank first without paying us anything.
